Group wants changes at Norris Lake

Apparently large horsepower boats create wakes that disrupt small fishing boats. Many boaters disagree however. Read the whole story for details.

AquaPalooza Offers Boaters Free Fun On The Water

AquapaloozaAquapaloozaSea Ray’s AquaPalooza, the annual multi-location marine extravaganza, will celebrate three years of on-water "excellence and excitement" this summer.

The Signature Event, the marquee party of AquaPalooza, will be held from 4-9 p.m. Saturday on Chickamauga Lake by the Chickamauga Dam.

Clean Marinas and Clean Boating

To help protect water quality in relation to boating activities, TVA set up the Tennessee Valley Clean Marina Initiative, which addresses such activities as sewage management, oil and gas control, marina siting, and erosion prevention. The program certifies marinas that are in compliance with pollution-control standards and allows them to use the Clean Marina logo and flag. Boater charged in fatal collision in Henry Co.

Phelps chargedPhelps chargedA Tennessee man faces charges in connection to a boating accident that left a Murfreesboro woman dead and her teenage daughter injured.

David Phelps, of Woodlawn, was arrested and charged with boating under the influence Thursday evening after his fishing boat collided with a pontoon boat on Kentucky Lake near Paris Landing in Henry County shortly before 6 p.m.
