A note from a fellow boater

July4July4"On July 4th, 2006, I was heading straight up-river mid channel near Harrison Bay at a moderate speed when I was overtaken to starboard by a fast moving boat which cut sharply across my bow so closely I could hear the operator's wife\ lady passenger yelling at him to "stop acting the fool". He was 10 feet off my bow - this was a very near miss. He ignored hail and horn. I was furious.

Had I the speed, I would have followed him all day until I could get my hands on him and have a man-to-man discussion about his lack of courtesy.

The boat had a wooden transom and the name "Reel Suite". I was a little too flabbergasted to get other details except that the boat had a very small cabin amidship."
